Kansas PTA is proud to sponsor, support, and encourage 
our students in grades 5-12 to write an essay or poem on 
the selected theme. The theme changes every year as it 
encourages our students to think about Citizenship.

Shawnee Mission Area Council PTA is proud to announce the results of the district Citizenship writing contest for 2015. 

Congratulations and thank you to all the students that entered the contest. 

Each year SMAC provides a brief training workshop for the Citizenship Chairs. Learn how PTA Citizenship Essay contest works, including important dates and timelines, ways to promote the contest, get judges and much more! The sessions will also focus on increasing student participation while reducing work for organizers. New and past local school chairs are encouraged to attend.
