PRIMARY MUSIC COMPOSITION
I Love My Mom
christa mcauliffe ELEMENTARY
When love goes to your heart, you can share it with another person.
Intermediate MUSIC COMPOSITION
I can change the world by using my words. But sometimes I can't express myself with words, so I use music. My song tells a story, so that's how I express myself. In the beginning, it's peaceful because there's no problem. In the middle, it's more intense because a problem is arising like climate change. At the end, it's peaceful again because I fixed the problem by peacefully protesting. If it was something like world hunger, I'd raise money and donate it. My song relates to the theme because it explains how I will change the world.

The Power of Music
little trumpet song
Lenexa Hills Elementary
My project is a poem set to violin music. I wanted to use my words and music in a creative performance. I believe that music changes the world by bringing people together and inspiring action. It is a wonderful way to express yourself and relate to the world. When you connect with others through music, wonderful and powerful change can occur.
This little piece of music is supposed to make someone feel some amount of joy. It might not change the world in a big way, but a small change might go a long way.
HIGH SCHOOL MUSIC COMPOSITION
one small voice
One small voice is built around one repeating melody, played at first only by a piano, but being picked up by more and more instruments as it goes on. This is how I will change the world; repeating my message trying to be heard through the chaos. The repeating patterns and random notes in the background contribute to the storm of chaotic background noise. The other message is nonsense, and advice both good and bad. The song is not about what my change will be, but rather how it will take place one voice at a time.
When I first began writing Emotional Rollercoaster, I was having a rough week. Writing music helped me to express my emotions in a healthy way, as opposed to bottling up my feelings or lashing out at other people. The clashing chords and key shifts in the song are a reflection of the muddled emotions I was feeling at the time. I want to let other people know that it's okay to feel the way they do. I can change the world by using art to express myself, and so can anybody else.
